Dreams EP
I recently download an app to my iPhone called FourTrack and soon realized how fun it is to record with.
I decided I would make a little EP of the songs just using the app and mixing it in GarageBand. Here are the first three that I have done.
Some of the songs you can hear Josh talking in the back. I don't have a good place to record without him discovering me and asking, "Daddy, Whatcha ya doing?"
Anyway, Enjoy!

Received a reply to an email from Dan Heath author of Made to Stick today. Decided I would share a video of his.
I read "Made to Stick" and "Switch" a few weeks back and thought that they were both very inspiring. 2 days ago, I decided I would email the authors, Chip and Dan Heath, to tell them how much I enjoyed their book. Today, I was surprised to see a reply from Dan in my inbox. I know it wasn't much, but I believe that we can all learn something from Dan's actions.
I try to reach out to people every once in awhile to thank them for their work and more often then not people do not respond. I usually just go on my way and keep living my life. However, when someone like Dan replies it builds his brand very strong in my eyes. His actions have now created a spark inside of me to fervently recommend his books. From this, I will be more likely to buy his books myself and give them to my friends.
I think the lesson to be learned here is that by simply showing respect to me, Dan was able to secure himself a promoter and advocate for his books.
I am embedding this video so that you can see some of his work. I think you will enjoy it.

Bring on the learning revolution! Sir Ken Robinson at TED.
I like how he says that, "passion is the key to success," and that, "education doesn't feed people's passions."
Through out my journey with Teach For America I plan on trying to reach out to children and help them identify their passions.
I wonder how I can do this and above all how I can do this as a math teacher.

The first iStock song of mine that I have seen in action... Rocketman!
This guy sent me an email telling me that he used my song for their commercial. I thought it was pretty cool to see a song that I wrote and composed on someone else's work. Check out their company here.
